@ThinkingFree oh, of course, he is a very sharp and intelligent guy, and perhaps we won't have heard the last of him, especially if there is a blue wave in November as we are all hoping, he could be part of the cabinet, anything really.

Pete Buttigieg had everything needed in this world to become president of the U.S. except for one... one demographic liability - Being Gay. We do not like it? Too bad. But that is the truth. Pete had everything.... The master oratory, Ivy league education, brilliant career with big names, political experience, military experience, good looks, American whiteness, faith in America's religion, quoting scriptures on the campaign trail, hating wars... all of it... . But he did not get the vote of the religious voters, especially of the more religious voters - America's Southern black voters.

American voters will not elect any of these demographics for president. Period. No second guessing.

I told early on, Buttigieg will not be president and I repeat Bernie Sanders will not be president. The sooner we understand, the better we will save money, energy and the hype.

You woman being elected? A woman presidential candidate has to be at least 2 times better than a man to be elected president. Senator? yes, Governor? yes but not president.

A black president is also very unlikely for another 15 years. Obama was a very rare exception. He was very good, he came during a perfect storm (anger against Iraq war, against Bush and Cheney, also about Rumsfeld, serious economic meltdown, and a lousy candidate like McCain). This storm will not happen again. America's white majority will elect an average white candidate than a twice as good black candidate if all other things are normal. It has to be a perfect storm.

@St-Sinner We almost got a woman… Viewed as a shoe in, not only due to her spectacular experience - but the fact ‘there’s no way her crazy opponent could win’...

Warren was sharp, too sharp.. My original ‘choice,’ she lost me after playing the gender card. I don’t think they need to be ‘twice as good,’ just seeking the office for everyone’s benefit ...not just ‘for little girls’..

I knew Hillary would not be elected just as I had the feeling that Al Gore would not be elected. I am not kidding.

Elizabeth Warren is still my favorite. She is sharp, thoughtful, very intelligent and a great debater. It is hard for me to accept that plans, policies matter at all. I am not clear why Warren began to lag behind. Just as I do not understand why a far leftist, once a communism-loving, 78 year old, odd looking candidate with unacceptable demographics in America with ill health like Bernie Sanders could come this far. I suspect that there are some other factors at play. Possibly Trump or Russia are propping up Bernie with small campaign funding to make Bernie the nominee and re-elect Trump in 2020. We don't know yet but I am sure books will be written and the history will tell the real story years from now.

So much hate and dirt had been piled on Hillary, too many ordinary people either bolted or sat on their hands..

It’s easy for anyone to say ‘Bernie would have beat trump.’ I say not. There’s a good reason both the Russians and Republicans continue to lay off ‘Bernie’ -- cuz they suspect they’d blow him away in the General..

His health. That man should have pulled out of his bid for the presidency after his heart attack - period His continued campaigning shows his ultimate disregard for this nation!

I try not to bash the guy too much, as it seems only to invigorate his Russian Bots & Bros … but look at his followers; worse, listen to them. My kids understood more of politics before High School than these dilutional misfits after a dozen years of college...
