This year I continued the tradition of using left over easter egg dye to dye some wool. I have a lot of Cormo roving, so Ipulled off a handful and stuffed it into the six cups with dye, vinegar and water. It resulted in some lovely pastel shades which I will spin into yarn as soon as I fid another bobbin. I like to knit baby things from this wool, maybe socks or tiny mittens.

Two little factors canmean success or failure: there needs to be vinegar in the mix and the wool and dye mixture need to be heated in the oven to set the dye. Also, natural dyes ( onion skin, beets,etc. will ade over time no matter what mordant is used.)
Thanks I will need to pass that on to her in the next life as she is deceased.

It is very fine wool, about as fine as Merino. It has the tiniest amount of crimp so it is easy tp spin.
Herte is a picture. The breed comes from Australia
