I think they are deeply concerned about the well-being of their fellow humans - it's just that their concern manifests in telling them how us how to live our lives, and does not extend to common sense funding of institutions that can respond to such situations most effectively and efficiently. Relying on thoughts and prayers and crony capitalism are just plain immoral choices in this age of enlightenment. So concerned yes, effective at maximizing life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... not so much.

Of course not that all conservative are religious or financially irresponsible but there aren't enough to out-weigh those that are. I think what surveys there are will probably examine bi-partisan issues like which areas instituted bans on public assembly the longest; which ones actually enforced bans on religious assembly - my guess is many will just turn a blind eye to placate religious leaders who are in tight with the local government; which ones that took actions to help their citizens in an effective way.

Then they should say goodbye

I will agree with everything you say if you will change it to the majority of conservatives. I live in a very conservative state and know that many conservatives are driven more by fear than anything else.. When those people wake up and figure out what is really happening they will magnify the chaos in very detrimental ways.

Truth. They are also less educated, another failing of the state. Republicans know an educated society will put them out on their collective asses.
