A friend of mine was venting about how dumb people are because of the hoarding going on in the grocery store at the moment. I said : what did you expect ? He replied “ people to use common sense , civility and courtesy. I chucked a bit and said , you are seeing the true essence of humanity when their is a crisis, many will be out for number one . I went on to say just as you echo your perspective and have found some to resonate with it , others who are responding with fear driven behavior have found others that resonate with them , so there you have it , Two different realities, all it takes is two or more to believe the same thing then it can become a reality.
