Are we weighting 7 mln(conservative)lives in the US versus the economy

I had to turn off the tv today. I was watching Trump talk about not closing down and only limited distancing because a bad economy could be worse then people dying. Its a medical problem. Are we putting a price on a human life now? Are we going to let 70%-100% of americans get the corrona virus which will kill way more then 7,000,000 million people in the US if there is no cure? Are the sick, weak and old such a problem for society that we are better of without them?

Maybe I totally misunderstand what he is saying and lashing out. This is how it came over. My son has an immune sickness. Are we deciding now that he can die so other people can have their money, go to the beach and nightclub?

Except that the people who die won't be restricted to the sick, weak and old. Covid can kill all adults, with some higher lethality for males.

No, you didn't misunderstand. Trump is psychopathic and entirely out of his depth. This was his first real test and he has badly failed. He knows the public sees it and he's unnerved. That shows too, very clearly.

You've got it! I think Trump is thinking of all the Social Security and Medicare, Medicaid money the govt. will save if those old and disabled people die off. Wealth of the 1% over people, every time..

I'm curious why you moved to our hellish country from The Netherlands?

Health reasons of my daugther. She was good in Florida. Almost died 3 times in the Netherlands. They never found out the cause.
