I had never heard of a pangolin, until a few weeks ago. Then last night, I saw a piece on PBS about the endangered pangolin and the caretaker of one of the black market rescues kept petting and kissing her pangolin, which of course made me recoil after reading stories implicating the pangolin.

I'd rather blame the bats, who might have infected the pangolins during their caged live storage for the wet markets. Fascinating, however it came about, and I hope something is learned with all that, to prevent such a thing in the future!
