I've always been a coffee snob. I bought my first espresso machine (a Vesuviano) in 1980. This was long before Keurig or Hamilton Beach even dreamed of offering one. I then went to Bialetti stove top (even had a backpacking version)
Eventually, I discovered the turkish urn for making turkish coffees (see below). That's what I exclusively use at home. I don't put sugar in it like a traditional turkish coffee. I use a turkish grind for my beans. It's stove top and takes no longer to brew than a regular pot of coffee. Downside, I can only make one cup at a time. But the taste is incredibly smooth, absolutely no acid bite (bitter taste comes from paper filters) and wonderfully strong.
When I have it available, I melt a square of 60% flavored cacoa chocolate like I used to get in french tobac shops.
Well, I must be getting a little bored being at home for over a week. Lol. Good drinking folks
