I wrote a poem. I am not very good at it, but it is kind of like a riddle and I wonder what other people might think it is about, since I seem to think a bit differently. If you have time, and who doesn't at this point, and are inclined to read it I thank you. What do you think?
I’m the devil in the 9/11 cloud you saw that day
I’m the god who whispers in your brain and tells you who to slay
I made the sun dance once and I made the sun stand still
I’ll torment you with your greatest fears and subjugate your will
I am you
I am he
I’m eternal
You are me
I’m a thousand different beasts and a million different men
I can rob you of your sanity and bring you back again
I’m a source of hate, I obfuscate and offer you false hope
I’m the source of light condemned men see when hanging from a rope
I am you
I am he
I’m eternal
You are me.
Looks more like a riddle. Who am I?
It is, sort of. Any answer is correct though.
Cool!
You ought to show it to a heavy metal or 'death metal' band.
It really is well-written.
Thanks. I did have a notion to have someone turn this into a lyric, but I do not know nearly enough about music to do it myself.
