I am reading Valerie Plame’s book. Republicans have been developing their dirty tricks book since Kennedy got elected and the racist, evangelical South started fleeing the Democratic Party. I am far from a conspiracyphobe, but Republican involvement in the Kennedy shootings (both of them) would not shock me. The idea that Oswald could not have made that accurate a shot from the distance he was shooting from presupposes that he actually meant to kill the President and not just send a message by letting him know he was vulnerable. Every Republican since has dirty tricked their way into office. Nixon with Watergate, Reagan with secret deals with Iran to hold the hostages, W. Bush with a SCOTUS election win the first time and the completely false “Swift boat” campaign his second term. And all this brought us to Trump! With the Republican majority in both houses of Congress, they kept Obama hamstrung and played the fears of white America like professional propagandists they are. And having a grown three year old running for office played well to their base who’s average reading skills stop at about fifth grade. Once the money of the Party got behind Trump and the campaign of lies had Hillary’s ship listing, Comey’s appearance with the email 💩just before the election left too many Democrats in swing states limp.
My fear is Biden will have the same effect after the Trumplicans get done rolling out their full propaganda machine as we get closer to November and if this Virus begins to settle down.

The enemy will do what it wants and must, destroy us. The question is what are our leaders doing? Where is our knight in shining armor? Who is leading us to victory?

As followers, we do everything they ask us to do... we sloganeer, we give money, we show up at rallies, we vote, we voice our support on social media, we voice concerns everywhere. But with leaders like Pelosi, Biden and Bernie, who needs enemies to destroy us?

Republicans know how important strategic positions are. I can't stand Biden either but Pelosi has done a great job in my estimation considering the constraints she is operating with. She controled the purse strings for the 2818 house races and was instrumental in taking over the house. I agree republicans have always been smarter strategists and that's why they will redistricti most of the democratic House winners away in 2022.

Regard less of that, it is suicide to just give up.

@Lorajay
I have no confidence that the Democratic Party will win with Pelosi, Biden or certainly not Bernie. We need new fresh leaders with new ideas and faces. It is not enough for a leader just to be a good tactician like Pelosi but he or she must be charismatic, appealing and likable. Pelosi is none of the three. She is a negative energy and brings a bad reputation with her vile talk that puts animosity on display each time she comes on stage. She has become a rallying cry for Republicans to unite. How old you have to be to retire? 50? 60, 70?

@St-Sinner Hmm, Your constant projection of negative energy does not accomplish anything but demoralize the people that would like to keep working against Trump!

When you come up with a way to win instead of why we are losing, I and many others will listen to you more carefully.

@Lorajay
I am not describing people differently than how they are perceived. Perception is everything in politics. It is widely discussed how old Pelosi is, how plastic and artificial she looks, how her vile impressions give Republicans a reason to excite to unite. She has been a constant polarizer just like Bernie is. We can use a better, young, smiling Democratic leader or two (or more) instead of these worn out old wood that has been in Washington for 50 years. The same applies to Mitch McConnell and others among Republicans.

I don't speak because people should like it. I tell it as is.
