To be clear, the United States Supreme Court in Gibbons v. Ogden, 22 US 1 (1824) acknowledged that quarantine and health laws are the jurisdiction of the States pursuant to their police power over the health and welfare of their people. (10th Amendment)
Article 1 Section 8 of the US Constitution gives Congress the right to regulate commerce among the States.
The Constitution gives the president no such power. The end.
This president doesn't give a damn about the constitution. And the Congress showes no interest in challenging his power.
I'm pretty sure the House impeached him. The Republican Senate is afraid of him. which is ridiculous because if they got rid of him they wouldn't have to be afraid of him
Impeachment was political theater. As she was impeaching him, pelosi and the house democrats approved his historically enormous military budget, his space force, and wall money. They renewed the Patriot act for him and haven't actually challenged him on anything significant.
How does it make sense that they are resisting him by impeaching him when they know full well that it will die in the Senate, and increasing his power as noted above while arguing that he has abused his power and obstructed justice?
Impeachment was a distraction to make it appear that they are resisting him while actually going along with his agenda.
@RoboGraham I disagree
You disagree but you have no counterpoint. Sounds good to me.
@RoboGraham I have a bunch of counterpoints but I don't like hitting my head against the wall
Fair enough
