ughh dammit... another thing to be paranoid about! I cannot keep my shoes outside or they'd be in the hallway and a neighbour or drug buyers (there's a drug dealer in my building) would steal all my shoes!

This is probably sensible where homes have young children crawling about or playing on the floor.
Most people I know leave their shoes just inside the door, which is probably fine for all the other homes.

I spend so much time licking the bottom of my shoes! Given that in many societies where the virus is still spreading taking your shoes off at the door is common practice, it would seem to not make a huge difference.

And we are pretty much just not leaving the house. Getting very old!
