I suspect that early story-tellers invented gods and goddesses as an art form to entertain their clans in the evening around the fire. The children would tend to believe in the stories, and as generations passed, myths were built up.

There’s no reason to believe or disbelieve such a speculation. Why does it matter?

I believe beliefs are better when informed by science. The science that I’ve seen seems to suggest that the explanatory function of religion was only a part, and maybe a smaller part of how religions evolved, the larger parts serving the purposes of group cooperation, and countering the free-rider problem.

And I would believe that you would be a bible believer because you are making statements that agree with biblical text. As written, Jesus character referred to himself as "son of man". What this is apparently telling us is that Jesus character is an offspring or a product of mankind, that is man made.

Belief means hold something as true. Do you truely hold this as what you think is true? Do you think it could be possible that your request would be out of everyone else's hands to disprove what you hold as true? I mean, someone could say they hold something as true but no one on Earth has the capacity to show that it is not true.

Observation or seeing something is a true occurrence. As with a mirage, we understand that what we think we see is not actually what we think it is. Nontheless, something is seen.
