Ok I've seen christianity described as a 'doomsday cult" and a "death cult", but can we describe it as a "torture cult"?

Basically doomsday and death cult usually focus on the end of the world, the end of life, etc.

But chrisitanity seems to spend a lot of time glkeefully going on about how the non cult members will be tortured in fire and agony for alllll etterrrrrnityyyyyyy.

So can we call it and it's ugly little brother islam "torture cults" or "sadism cults"?

Christianity is a cannibal death cult, that worships the idea of universal resurrection, eternal punishment and the enjoyment of the torture of the "unworthy".
It is however also, especially among Catholics and the followers of St. Jerome a sado-masochist torture cult, employing such ideas as self flagellation with a personal scourge, the use of both horse hair and metal cilice for reasons of painful penitence and a whole host of other tools of godly Mortification.

After I first read this post I then went to doing some other random internet surfing. Come across Rammstein song Der Meister and some comments about the interpertation of that song. I had never heard the song before nor have I known anything about the interpertation.

Anyhow, after reading thru those comments I recalled reading this post. Maybe a comment there could be connected to this post. I will copy that comment here and the link.

Mario from Bielefeld, Germany
God = "Lord", not "Master". Master = a higher being that can be any religious idol.
"Weil der Meister uns gesandt, verkünden wir den Untergang"... means "we proclaim doom, BECAUSE our master has send us". See the difference, the act of proclaiming doom is not initiated by the master, but the singer thinks that he has to proclaim doom because someone has send him. Meaning: A higher being sent us to earth (gave us our lifes) and mankind thinks that he has to proclaim the end instead of being happy and celebrating life. Taking the german grammar into account, this is the real meaning of this sentence .
"Der Reiter der Boshaftigkeit, fuettert sein Geschwuer aus Neid".
Similar to the apocalyptic horsemen, another horseman, the horseman of evilness is the protagonist in this verse. He feeds his abscess of envy. People look at each other not in approval but in enviousness. And envy leads to evilness. Too many people are envious and this leads to a huge evilness throughout the world. Personified as a horseman here.
"Die Wahrheit ist wie ein Gewitter"
The truth is like a thunderstorm, because you can feel it approaching (like in this song), and when it reaches you, it will destroy. The truth is that our life will end someday with death. But instead of enjoying the days we have, we try to make this place a hell on earth (not that radical but think of war, crime etc. and you get the point). And the truth that will come to you is the fact that life is not about sunshine in paradise at all. It is a dark place. And we do our best to maintain this situation.
"Weil die Nacht im Sterben lag, verkünden wir den jüngsten Tag"
This has nothing to do with judgement day.
The first part is about the dying night - which means DAWN. The beginning of a new day. A new day is associated with a new beginning, a new chance, sunlight, new hope. But "we proclaim judgement day". We do not appreciate the new day to come, we do not think this is a new chance, instead we fear about the change - the change of night to day - and think that this change will be the end. We do not want changes. We like the night. And if something changes, it has to be something evil of course.
"Die Wahrheit ist ein Chor aus Wind"
The truth is a choir made out of wind. We can feel it, we know it is there, but it has not enough substance to grip and hold it. It is something that is around us but cannot be easily destroyed. The many little situations each day where evil takes precedence in our thinking and acting sum up to the truth that we do not want to make our and others lifes more enjoyable.
"Kein Engel kommt um euch zu raechen"No angel will come to take revenge. There is no heavenly force that will put things right. We alone have the power to make the world a more happier place to stay. And no one will come to take revenge for our destruction because we ourselves have caused it, not someone else.
"Diese Tage eure letzten sind, wie Staebchen wird es euch zerbrechen"
These days are our last ones. In our life. Then we are dead. Meaning: We only have one life. Enjoy each day. Because each day can be the last one.
Like grass in a storm we will be blown away - death will end our lives. No one is immortal.

Think about this interpretation.
Heavy Metal always had some more depth in its lyrics 🙂

50 shades of Jesus alternitive lifestyle. For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others--and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." Matthew 19:12

Torture and sadism are secondary affects of death cults. Fear is the main factor. The fear of death is what is the driving force of these cults. Fear, torture, and the hope of not dying or experiencing pain if one chooses the "right" cult is simply the modavation.

No I think that the main driving forces of these cults is greed. Greed for power and wealth especially, the fear of death, pain, disease, strangers (Those outside the cult.) and the unknown, are the tools used , and all of them, including death, are deliberately fed and exagerated way beyond their natural level to acheive that.
