Happy Earth Day folks.. share with me what you do to nurture our planet and make it a better place.
Constantly clean up litter at my apartment complex, city streets and while hiking. Yesterday I was appalled by thousands of discarded cigarette butts in the parking areas downtown.
Drive a small car that gets 38 miles/gallon. Trying to reduce my carbon footprint.
Never use plastic straws.
Trying to reduce plastic in my life. It's hard, since everything is packaged in plastic.
Use cloth grocery bags. Recycle.
Attend Earth and Science Day marches. Push politicians to address climate change.
Have voted for Democrats my entire life.
Your Soul Footprint is Larger than Your Carbon Footprint. I Salute You.
Moved to an island archipelago and learned how to become more self-sufficient using a light footprint.
Well, let's see....I have no kids (but honestly that's just because I have not met the right lady,) I have no car, I recycle and I do my best to support small, local farmers who practice sustainable farming.
I don't do enough but I do try. In the past. I helped push our city to curbside recycling And I try to set a good example in that area. I live on a local Lake that is a water supply and him probably one of the few people here that do not fertilize or use herbicides on my property.
I have taken on calling clients I have helped either getting things needed delivered for those discharged home with the virus. It amazes me their scripts are called for them to pick up. But after done have kept list to see how they are doing. Usually when done close case and tell them to call, but since after care services are not available if they don't have resources, I decided at least for my.peeps I will check on them. I do give them.the option of not calling, but so far no one has said yes.
