My baseline for human acceptability is just don't kill or rape people. I really don't care what motivates you to abstain, but just do that, whatever it is. Whether it's believing in a god or gods, whether it's taking your dog for a walk each day, or if it's brutal and vigorous self-love on the weekends, I really couldn't care less; just don't kill or rape people. I don't think that's a lot to ask for basic human decency.

Agree. I have always identified with the final quote from Boondock Saints, minus the religious influence. "Do not rape. Do not steal. Do not Kill. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace..."
