Hi fellow Atheists etc. Are there any Woodwind Musicians amongst you out there in the big wide world ?
Hey, Skyfacer. I'm new here - signed up just the other day. I'm a pro musician- I play bass guitar, clarinet, and flute. I freelance in San Diego, CA and play regularly in at least three different groups. I play most of my gigs on bass nowadays, but I get some clarinet gigs with a local swing band. I'm planning to get a new clarinet and practice that a lot more, and record some original music.
Hi there Dougnostic. I play my instruments mostly in small chamber size orchestras and a local theatre pit orchestra. We just did a Mozart concert where I use my Oboe and Clarinet. It was an interesting concert in that we finished off with Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. I reckon Mozart would have loved it.
Clarinet and Saxophone, but it's been many years.
Flute and alto sax. Embouchure left many years ago and hasn't returned. So has the wind, so the only thing left is the wood.
High school bands 1979-82: oboe, alto sax, soprano and alto recorders. My folks sold the oboe to pay for college (mine), but I still have a sax.
My 20 YO child has two flutes and played piccolo in high school.
Are we forming a band? Virtual, perhaps?
No. This curious cat is just wondering how many other Woodwind musicians there are out there who post here on this site.
Does high school band from 1969 to 1973 count? First clarinet...
