Trump is afraid of anyone that deflates that big ego of his. He wouldn't last 2 hours on what we make.

He's appealing to ignorant people. Unfortunately the "poorly educated" outnumber the highly educated. They will accept anything he says. Some of them are stupid enough to believe him and some know he's lying but want to believe him.

A thorn in the side of conservatives has long been that on average, as peoples knowledge of the sciences increase - they tend to become more liberal. The right wing whines that its because of some kind of liberal brainwashing that happens in schools. Except, even people completely self-educated in science become more progressive. A history education does a lot of this too . . . "hey, wait a second, I recognize this pattern, this crap has happened a bunch of times before!"

As you learn more about reality, you see those patterns, and also become more compassionate and empathic and ergo - more liberal.
