A failing economy where a good job is no longer available, while the saving one has accumulated is striped by bills and an uncaring leadership. At least the administration is getting really good at this.

@MissKathleen -I learned later in life from my x-tian in-laws. My family would just write a check for their friend's charities. My in-laws invited the elderly who were alone to Sunday dinners and did a lot of volunteering and church related fund raising. Truly caring people. I still occasionally see my mother-in-law, my daughter's grandmother.
