An early mentor told me, "Don't get angry; get even."

I think it wiser to not let it happen again.

I see the issue of not letting it happen again coming down to the willingness and ability of decision makers to properly comprehend the nature of the issue that is confronting them. Then, and only then, will they be in a position to not let it happen again.

IMO anger is the result of being unable to understand something & one's own inability to cope with that reality.

With the exception of the following paragraph I can understand why the writer is angry with their self.

"I’m angry that you ignored Hillary Clinton’s experience, intelligence, and character, to give away the nation’s leadership to a guy who filed bankruptcy numerous times and left an endless trail of unpaid vendors and broken promises."

On Clinton - wasn't she the one who caused the murder of Gadafi and the collapse of Libya which led to the African invasion of Europe by refugees?
Oh but don't worry about that it didn't happen in America did it!

On Trump - who better to lead a bankrupt nation thank a former multi bankrupt?
Do you ask an honest courageous man to plan a violent bank robbery or lead a country renowned for its bullying, stand over tactics, piracy, corrupt and warmongering behaviour?

Get real!

@Fred_Snerd video not available outside of gullibility land.

I prefer the definition, anger is a result of an unmet expectation.

@yvilletom only holds good of others if expectation is realistic and necessary othewise anger is at self for having false/unrealistic expectations.

@FrayedBear Too complicated.

That's a strong piece of writing. A lot of people are angry like that now. I think what frustrates me most is that even when we vote him out, he will fight leaving, and in the last ditch destroy a lot of intelligence information and infrastructure.

There are lots of reasons to be angry, as stated in this article, but I disagree with Clinton being a person of character.

"I’m angry that you ignored Hillary Clinton’s experience, intelligence, and character, to give away the nation’s leadership to a guy who filed bankruptcy numerous times and left an endless trail of unpaid vendors and broken promises."

Unless they meant to say she's a shady, rotten character.

I'll give her that.

I don't think I had heard of it before, but what about former Pres. Clinton association with Epstein? The more you look at it, it's just something that can't even be equated to a swamp because swamps are natural, beautiful parts of an ecosystem. This is worse, way worse than that.

@Allamanda

I think I made it clear that I was speaking about HER, as was the paragraph in quotes.

Trump is irrelevant.

@Allamanda I liked Clinton. I'm pretty much a globalist at heart, and I still think she might have made a great president.

@TO_BY

Y'all sound like a bunch of Christian apologists.

@Allamanda

This is a repeating pattern in the US. One has to chose between two despicable candidates. The DNC corruption in 2016 and now in 2020 robbed Bernie of the nomination he deserved.
What you have now is an establishment that will learn it can continue to manipulate and control the democratic voter by offering the candidate it chooses, not the people.. you know as it would be in a an actual "democracy" where the media reports the truth and doesn't have networks playing favourites and sabotaging the other candidates.

I replied to this post based on what was in the article. To paint Clinton as a person of character is just false. I agree with Chomsky, Sam Harris and other people whom I respect who also speak honestly about her.

To ask me what I would prefer to see happen is irrelevant. That paragraph about Clinton is just bullshit and I called it out. It wasn't a statement about how to fix the political trash can the US has become. However, I would have preferred to see mainstream media and the DNC behave honestly and with an ounce of integrity.

As long as Americans continue to accept the lies and corruption being dished out, things will continue to get worse.

I couldn't vote any of the deplorable candidates mentioned. If someone wants my vote they have to earn it.

I could be living in the US right now, but I'm not with good reason!

@Athena I'm not a christian apologist though. I'm a pragmatist. I was no Bernie supporter either time, and I have the right to think that way. I liked a lot of Clinton's ideas -especially around converting the energy base to solar, further strengthening women's healthcare and right to choose, and overall connectedness globally. As it is now we have a fascist, a racist, and a xenophobe - all in one. How is that better?

@TO_BY

No one said Trump was better and I would really appreciate it if this accusation would stop. I'm speaking about Clinton, who is a piece of shit, independent of Trump, according to honest people who don't apologize for her lies, manipulation, and as of recently, her backstabbing. She is also a narcissist, just like Trump, who just happens to use better grammar and larger words.

She is a dishonest war monger who laughs at bombings and torture and was anti gay marriage for the longest time. She stands for nothing consistently and will pivot toward whatever will get her elected.

See what the fuck you want. I take no responsibility for your poor visibility.

I hate Trump, but his egregious behaviour doesn't make her look any better.

@TO_BY

Oh, and to clarify, your apologetics related to Clinton remind me of Christian apologists.

That's what I meant. You know the people who make excuses for priests who fuck children? Those kinds of apologetics.
They're better than Bin Laden, right? That's what the comparison between Clinton and Trump is like.

@Fred_Snerd, @Athena You're entitled to an opinion I guess, no matter how ill informed. I rest easier knowing that Bernie will never ever be president.

@TO_BY

I love how one resorts to accusations of being "ill informed" when the facts are clear and touted by the greatest intellectuals on this subject. You think we are alone in this opinion of Clinton?

She went up against the biggest and abhorrent idiot in 2016 and LOST. She blamed everyone but herself for that loss. That's just rich. Trump was more electable than she was?

Oh dear.

That's so well put I'm speechless.

From the news today it seems thing are going to get much worse. Thanks in large part to the orange anus 😟

Wow.

Nice rant. I certainly can identify with it. The worst may be yet to come.

I agree with all but I also see a pattern in other nation also following the same path albeit not on the same level. I jst read a short piece where someone in the know believes he may not accept defeat and try to bring the election before the Supreme Court. This will be based on his grumblings of how mail in voting is prone to voter fraud (it is not and he also voted by mail). This is predicted to be a repeat of W's election. However, as I remember SCOTUS was so upset at this they said they would not do it again. With so much polarization and anger I fear there will be a major and violent protest. What we are seeing now will be nothing compared to later. The military might be called in but it will be their duty to side with the winner not this total loser of a human being (if one can even call him that).

@Allamanda lol but not so lol. I have used that adage many time to describe my life. However, on doing some research apparently it is not Chinese. I could not find where it came from but having an immigrant partner showed me that often different cultures have the same sayings. People are all the same (but also different).

@Allamanda I want to die of boredom. Could this wait for another decade?

@Allamanda Retirement. I wanted to die in peace and,,,,,the beach. Now I've got covid fear, KKK is rising,
the police are out of their minds and I don't have any cheesecake.

@PondartIncbendog Don't forget climate change, and water scarcity. 🙂

@TO_BY I'm from Washington State. We have water everywhere. But I'll be dead before I drown from climate change. I'm more likely to die from the fault here slipping.

Everything he said!

Yes, all of those things.
