I'm always kind of in shock when there is a fire, a school shooting, a plane crash, and there are a few survivors, and often it is said that "God saved them". But, God didn't save those who died? Even my father a WWII veteran who was only one of the eleven from his 130 man company who survived the war said, "God saved him." If there were a god, wouldn't he care about everyone, or just those who most supported him?
It's pretty arrogant actually. Why are YOU so special that he saved you? It's like all the people who say "I had a past life.....I was Joan of Arc." Really? And again....why did God let Joan get burned?
There is a story I'll share when we meet of the little bible of my dad's I have. His dad carried it in WWI when he was nearly killed, and he gave it to my dad to carry in WWII, and according to an aunt, my granddad cried like a baby when my dad lef for Europe, he knew he'd not see his son again, and he didn't. I need to give that bible to my son, he's the only Christian child I have. So does "Sapio..." Have any religious children?
Kind of a slap in the face to those that died, huh?
Oh yeah, something good happens it is because he is good, all merciful, all powerful all wise and above all the protector of mankind.
Something bad happens and it is because God has a plan, we just don't understand it, we must not presume to know the will of God, his ways are not our ways, have faith God knows what he is doing.
I call BS.
