It is exhausting to watch the news and/or social media. I try to take breaks from both. If I didn’t, I’d be a basket case!

One thing that is very apparent: everybody has an opinion. It may be a learned opinion, a guess based on intuition rather than fact in evidence, a strongly held belief based on old information and prejudices, or just a “swag” or stupid wild assed guess.

Wisdom has no place in most opined remarks. Ego generally has everything to do with these comments claimed to be opinion.

Some advise to take with serious humility in these times. Before spouting your opinion or pressing send on a FB response pause and think and remember:

“The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.”

“The unexamined life is not worth living.”

“There is only one good, knowledge,
and one evil, ignorance.”
