I read a lot of it before I saw the POV that most philosophers had troubled childhoods and, in their attempts to understand themselves, use very complicated language.

Philosophy 101 made me the agnostic I am today...and made me think. But if I'd majored in Psychology I would have had a higher grade point.

Maths, because it is not possible to understand any other subject, especially philosophy and psychology, without a deep knowledge of maths, it is the key to understanding.

Psychology works for me because it's humans who usually interpret philosophy.

Like em both, but having to chose one I'd say philosophy for it's range of subjects and through it you will still sometimes lurk into psychology territory
