Reagan started this fucked up GOP experiment when he defunded welfare programmes, Gave the Rich a huge tax cut, spent obscene amounts of money on the Military, invaded Granada and funded the terrorist organisation called the Contras. The obscene income inequality in the US was started by Reagan. I could never understand why so many Americans love Reagan. He was Trump light

Yes, there are many shameful moments that can pointed to as the beginning of the downward tend.

Maybe it was when the founders wrote the bill of rights granting unprecedented freedoms to citizens but at the same time allowed slavery to continue.

@yvilletom, @powder The Pentagon (from the Secretary of Defense to the JCS), can't take a leak without approval from the President. However, as President Eisenhower identified at the end of his tenure, the so-called "military industrial complex" is a grave concern, as it serves both parties. Just take a good look at defense contracts by state and voting district!
