The hardest thing is keeping random adults from throwing their religion at my children. Then, if I mention that we are an ATHEIST family, they act as if I isulted them, proceed to proclaim pitty for my kids, try and shame me for denying my kids the holy spirit, and of course offer their thoughts and prayers......so frustrating.
It frustrates me that I am constantly told I must respect the beliefs of others, and they rarely respect my non-belief. I think that non-belief is the default setting for all of us (we are all born atheist), and while I respect everyone's right to believe what they want, I don't think I have to respect said belief. I am tired of discrimination, and will admit perhaps this isn't very nice, but I often do make fun of their beliefs when they try to impose them on me (not with kids around though). Also, sometimes it's fun to make up something really out there to point out the absurdity of trying to impose subjective beliefs on others. Wow, that was long-- sorry.
That wasn't long. At least not by my standards. If I don'[t have to scroll at some point to read the whole thing, it's a perfectly short post
