Have You Ever Wished Someone Was Dead?
"homicidal fantasies are not uncommon: In 2000, Peter Crabb and associates surveyed 300 undergraduate students and found that 60 percent of the males and 32 percent of the women could describe a recent fantasy about killing someone"
When I was a young adult, I thought the world would be a better place after all the old people died. LOL
Of course I've wished someone was dead! Occasionally I've even fantasized about killing.
This used to cause me shame. Then I realized that my thoughts were entirely my own, and had absolutely no life outside of my own brain. There was no possible way for my imagination, sans action, to hurt anyone.
Now I just let the fantasies come. I enjoy them for what the are, and then let them go. No need for either shame or obsession.
Violent fantasies are cathartic, those who fantasize about violence rarely perpetrate it, those who perpetrate it do not fantasize...they plan.
I do believe my feelings toward the current Administration and Senate Majority would qualify.
That is fucking disturbing. A fantasy about killing someone has never even crossed my mind.
Violence of any kind never crosses my mind.
@jlynn37 Do you mean the commission of violence because there is a lot of violence going on in this world of which we should probably be aware.
@LovinLarge I mean an act of violence by me against another. I have little to no control of the violence that happens on this planet.
