As part of my efforts to probe the roots as to how religion has begun looking more like a business, I came across this probing book. There is a well-financed political movement to create a "Biblical Nation" that emerges after consuming its Republican host. Drive philosophically for pro-slavery roots and financially by rent-seeking and tax avoidance, th movement sees the American Constitution as anathema. This book is thoroughly sourced and extensively researched. It. also outlines how many moderate religious groups oppose the politicization of religion. The Trump Abomination is a Who's Who of religious nationalists, including the Russian connection that reveals an international component. This movement seeks to recreate the andirons that caused h Thirty Year War in Europe and The Peasants REvot in England that inspired our country's founders to emphasize the separation of church and state. A dark read, but it provides a background context for current events.
yes, and?
Most of the rest of the world has been able to see this for decades, quite a lot of those "un-mericun lefties" too in the USA itself
