The under 50s have stopped going to church in massive numbers, and those that do only go to please their parents.

Ireland has come a long way. The church is an organisation that is ridiculed now. They have lost their power
@dermot235 I was struggling to find a good way to ask about that. 
@FearlessFly The Abuse of society in Ireland by the church was so extreme. It's not an overstatement to say the Ireland was to Catholicism what Iran is to Islam now. I remember when I was young and Ireland was a dark and intolerant narrow minded country.
