Also are people aware that the unemployment might have to get paid back next year then everything come back to so called normal

You have to remember that when people are opposed something, and they don't have any arguments worth a fig, one of their first resorts, is to try and associate the thing they don't like, with something else which they think is hateful to the wider community. And if they make a lot of noise, then the media will give them more attention than their numbers deserve, and the idea becomes mainstream if they are lucky.
Or that is what they think anyway, but the people may be more savvy than they think.

Right, after all it is an insurance benefit not unlike most others (not like life insurance 
), "premiums" paid by employers (perhaps in lieu of otherwise income).

There are so many rumors flying around it's hard to know what's true. I figure there'll be plenty of time to worry after the bad stuff happens. And some of the stuff we worry about never happens anyway. Though, honestly, it's not unreasonable to expect the worst, under this administration.
