I know I'm supposed to be excited by the Biden/Harris ticket because they're the hand-picked Democrat dynamic duo that's supposedly going to save us all from a second term of the marmalade monster and his psycho Xian sidekick but I'm not.
Biden is an uninspiring old fart corporatist who should've retired after the Obama administration and Harris just rubs me the wrong way for so many reasons: her personality, her record as CA Senator, her record as an attorney -- she's so unlikable, to me anyway.
They have my vote regardless but share the reasons why this pairing works for you. I'm curious.
I am with you on this. I will vote against Trump, but I am not much inspired by Biden and am troubled by some of his past. Kamala strikes me as power hungry and I have a gut dislike of her. Perhaps she will prove me wrong. In any case politics is not perfect and I almost never get the people I'd prefer. Just the way it is.
@Fred_Snerd Yes, do you actually think some things are perfect?
Inspiration from a singer? Isn't that special.
You should probably take your self-righteous stick out of your ass.
We are sympatico on this.
..then don’t drag others down your rathole of despair.
For me, the people will have spoken. Previous Senate deals with votes from decades ago are not what most are looking at, or for. They’re looking for someone familiar with the process, proven leadership, loyalty, and positive name recognition. In other words - the guy trump feared the most! Now - we’ve two for the price of one!
I appreciate his choice, confirming his direction and commitment to the spectrum of our nation. Good for him - and I look forward to working for her ~
My rathole of despair has weed and Jello shots. You should be so lucky to be invited into it. Understand something numbnuts, I invited others to share their insights so I could consider them to maybe revise mine. I think I'm being very reasonable and open minded.
@Sgt_Spanky Next attempt, fathead, skip the asinine intro ..perhaps the weed & jello shots.. and ask your supposed ultimate question..
There is no perfect politician. In the most complicated and diverse political party in the history of politics, that will never happen. I don't care about someone who excites me. If that comes with the package fine. I want someone capable and experienced. These two people fill that bill for me. I am fine with his choice and fine with Biden as a choice. What few Progressives, and l am one, who choose not to vote or vote for some write in candidate or third party candidate, the old "watch this, fuck me" vote will be outnumbered by the moderate Republicans, the fired up minority vote, and the plain old sick and tired of Trump voters who did not vote in 2016 will more than make up for those Progressives acting childish.
Hillary is unlikable. Kamala Harris has more appeal. I'll admit it always seemed when she talked she had a few martinis. Trump planned Ukraine for Biden, because he's Biden was the candidate he wanted to stop. We'll see. Trump is going to pull all kinds of dirty tricks so it'll be tough. This is a strong ticket tho. Maybe not your first choice but acceptable to most.
