What is the definition of the word ‘god’ exactly to you?
Imagined being(s) who are "believed" into "existence" and looked to for some form of guidance, protection, enlightenment and, most importantly, immortality. Gods are everything we wish we were: dependent on nothing, never uncertain, never impotent, never dying.
A imaginary higher power people are trained to pray to.
It's the word my wife yells when we are making love......lol.
A supernatural being.not a part of the natural universe known now or at any time in the future. Like Marvel comic characters this unnatural creature is imbued with supernatural powers to shape matter create and destroy matter and knows everything. Knows the past present and future. In addition this creature hears the thoughts of all humanity. It’s a creepy creature. It could intervene in the physical universe and can help football teams in America win games. Apparently not so keen on eradicating disease and suffering. So obviously a made up creature as to be ludicrous
Gods were invented by early humans (possibly neanderthals) to explain the unexplainable. Then maniplulated by the few to keep the masses in check.
An imaginary being whose superpowers make believers feel secure and favored.
Nonesense, a placeholder for a person who has no other ideas and fears the dreaded "I don't know"
The Sumerian god, "Anu" is likely the inspiration for the Hebrew god of the Bible, but for my own belief, I see what others call "god" as my Higher Self, Source energy, etc.
