Are you a humanist?
A quick quiz from the uk website:
[humanism.org.uk]
A link the the American Humanist Association, (AHA), in case you’re American and you’d like to know more:
[americanhumanist.org]
I got 100%, but the choices were worded in such a way to be practically a 'giveaway'
100% on 2nd taking. On the first I got 89% so somewhere I made a choice that wasn't humanistic enough.
What did it say the first time? You might be interested? The second time I got 92% and it suggested I might like to learn more.
@girlwithsmiles I didn't read anything. I just thought a misread a question and went back over it and looked more carefully. Thing is, this being a humanist test there are some things I don't agree with.
OK quite good, it seems honest if a little banal. Very often with these things you will find that they give you a 'correct' or 'good' score, no mater what answers you give, since they are just click bait to draw you in. So I ran it twice, the first time giving honest answers, and the second time making half my answers random. The first time it said, yes you are a Humanist and the second time, "Its not for you." So it would seem to be for once and rarely an honest quiz.
I don't like the word "human".
Well you don't have to be one if you don't want.
PS how is the search for accomodation going ?
What would you prefer? Archeologists are starting to refer to this age as Homo sapien, but it’s hardly in common usage.
@girlwithsmiles just "people " rather than "human". What will happen when homo sapian (wise man) evolves into homo superduperious?
@Word I think it’s evolving into homo superfluous for most of us. But that’s pessimistic of me. In the uk people replaced folk, apparently, folk is kind of nice, nothing fancy about it. [etymonline.com]
100% Humanist was my score. In truth, I am 90% humanist and 10% misanthrope, depending on my mood (give or take a percentage point here or there.)
I scored 100%
Me too, and I only recently realised that there were organisations working to achieve what I believe in. After all these years of being disenchanted by the political system
@girlwithsmiles I knew about Humanist UK, although I’m not a member. I found Agnostic.com when I went onto their website to research humanist funerals.
@Marionville Well I’m glad you found agnostic.com, it wouldn’t be the same without you
@girlwithsmiles Aw..thanks so much!
