It's starting to feel like Dr Doolittle's house here...I went to let my cat inside after pouring my morning coffee not realizing he was bringing his bird friend with him. Now I'm sitting outside with my coffee waiting for the bird contained in my kitchen to calm the fuck down and make his way back outside. On the bright side, I'm fully awake now.

I had a cat who used to carry live birds into the house, let them go, and chase them.

I sure hope this doesn't become a habit!

Kitties certainly bring excitement into our lives don’t they????🀣 hope the little bird is ok!

Indeed they do!
He lost a few feathers., but flew away seemingly otherwise unharmed. πŸ™‚

Cats are a never-ending source of "entertainment". That's why I love them.

Very true. Thankfully he did not get the chance to do much damage to the bird outside of a few lost feathers. πŸ™‚

@Amzungu Quite a few of mine made friends with some rather venomous, African snakes, which they would "house" in the kitchen.

@Petter I would not like that one bit!

@Amzungu I grew up becoming used to confronting them, usually with a stout stick. Most snakes are actually eager to avoid a fight, the deadly exception being the Puff Adder.

A sparrow. I love them they are wonderful. I know people in the states are not all that happy about them, but they are charming little rogues.

I used to bird watch with my grandmother as a child and perhaps have a greater appreciation for them than many here in the states, They certainly are charming little rogues.
