There is no "purpose" to our existence. But because we experience the vastness of the universe from our tiny, tiny, insigficant world, we tend to believe that we MATTER to that universe. That we must have a purpose! We don't. Nevermind our own short lives, the equally short life of our entire solar system is but a blip on the screen, in relation to the BILLIONS of years the universe has existed. Even the term "billions of years," is meaningless, because it comes from our tiny speck of a planet revolving around our tiny speck of a sun. If we think in terms of GALACTIC years, then the Big Bang was only 61 galactic years ago. And ONE galactic year ago dinosaurs roamed the Earth! Now THAT really shows how insignifcant WE are!

My purpose here is to experience my existence as fully as possible. That includes my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. And to share what I can of myself with others. And to love the people in my life that matter. If I make an impact on the world, great. If I don't, well okay.

There is no purpose for me that I don't make for myself.

I’m a atheist I don’t believe in a higher power so there is nothing to ask my question to. And as for a purpose why do people think they have to have a special purpose? Your purpose is no different that that of a tree a rat or any other living thing. Live your life at least long enough to pass your DNA off to your offsprings or next generation. We are special we just have a more powerful brain.

What is/was/will be my purpose on this plane of existence? No idea, mate. Hopefully I held up my end in some dinner conversations, and made some people feel happy. Oh, and I saw some awesome musical gigs.

i don't believe in any higher power, so i would ask nothing. and i don't think anyone really has 2 have a purpose, not that you can't have one but i don't think its something you are born with, so i can't really answer that either

Did I live my best life, if not where did I go wrong, knowing that can I go back for a do over?

The purpose is what you make it - leaving the world better than when you arrived, bringing joy to the world, caring for those around you, etc. Combine as you wish!
