One of those evenings. Wx is changing and a cold wind is blowing in from the NW.
Birch tree is losing its leaves as an early sign of Fall. Flashbacks to a time I want to forget but never forget. That's a strange thought. Today's political environment and the unrest in our country makes me wonder if it was worth it. Of course it was. It made me what I am today:
All of us who saw service, wherever we were, were shaped by events. We went in as irresponsible, immortal boys and came out as responsible, mortal adults.
I salute you.
Thanks Petter. That means a lot to me coming from you.
