Religion is fading more quickly in the United States than in any other nation, according to a forthcoming research book.
Religion’s Sudden Decline: What’s Causing It and What Comes Next, by University of Michigan scholar Ronald Inglehart, is to be released in January by Oxford University Press. Writing in Foreign Affairs magazine – in an advance summary titled “Giving Up on God: The Global Decline of Religion” – Dr. Inglehart said:
“The most dramatic shift away from religion has taken place among the American public. From 81 to 2007, the United States ranked as one of the world’s more religious countries, with religiosity levels changing very little. Since then, the United States has shown the largest move away from religion of any country for which we have data.”

It's hard to have a religion backed president like Trump and people keep their faith.
Trump is proof it's all about a right wing cultural war because they just hate everyone and everything that isn't them, and they don't like each other.
With no SJW's or minorities, or women to piss on they turn on each other like cannibals.
This just means that people are not going to church and are treating the ritual of attending church services differently.
This does not mean that there is a mass exodus away from wishful, magical thinking. Many non-religious, spiritual but not religious people still believe in a sky daddy.
I have said it many times and will continue saying it. Many people here worship at the alter of the left side of a fanatical government cult.
It's the same behavior.
Unfortunately the make-up of lawmakers, in the States, don't reflect the population in this.
Hesitate to bring this up for fear of being labelled a stereotypical fanboy atheist lol ... but it’s around about that time, those “four horsemen” started speaking out very publicly against religion. I for one, am grateful and think they deserve credit and even a bit of adulation for their efforts.
It's taken long enough! Most of the world has drifted well away from dedication to religion.
Let's hope the US catches up rapidly.
Chances are you’ll see monkeys fly first.
@SeaRay215ex Better start teaching them to build gliders, then.
Religion is an obvious lie and sooner or later more people were bound to see that and choose to leave it behind but it took longer than it should've for those people to notice the obvious.
Good to hear that.........while religion will never die entirely, im glad that a lot of folks are waking up.
