FYI, straight men: Most men messaging women NEVER READ a woman's profile beforehand. We tell them exactly what to do to successfully approach when asked, and men proceed to ignore the very advice they asked to receive. It's TRUE, and only one reason women get jaded on dating sites.
I've been thinking about this for a couple days, hoping to figure it out. I don't know how many men are just illiterate. I feel it's more likely they are simply tone deaf socially, because they sure feel justified sending a dick pic and "Heyy, gorgeous," or something equally dumb. I guarantee you that will land in my circular file, so WHY? Has that ever worked? I sincerely doubt it. Yet those messages continue ad nauseam!
The possibility of A grade women constantly being contacted by C grade men seems the most likely answer, I'm heartbroken to say. It's incredibly discouraging to women, and why I can't subject myself to dating sites more than a couple days in a row. It's just too painful to be the target of a barrage of completely incompatible men who can't be bothered to read a profile but can click on a pretty face at light speed. Seriously, single men? That is insulting on so many levels. You'll never know it because we don't have the energy to teach thousands of you basic email etiquette. The times we've tried it, your responses sound like we just asked you to perform brain surgery. We went to many of the same schools, how did these men graduate? Not even that, how do they dress themselves in the morning and manage to navigate in a technological society?
How does dropping trou and forcing a woman you just met to view your package accomplish anything positive for either party? That just triggers questions in women like, "Is he twelve?" or "Is he brain damaged?" I won't even pretend
I have the resources to knowledgably unpack that, so if you have enlightening information, please share. Your response WILL BE READ and appreciated.

New to online dating but I might suggest that some guys spend countless hours writing thoughful tasteful messages only to have 99% of them go ignored..... lost in the souless wilderness of the online dating cybernet. Sooo... men are trained to be outrageous. I've heard it said....don't hate the player, hate the game. That said, I agree it's a terrible experience for both most women and men.....

Lack of sex causes permanent brain damage in some men( actually, I think it's because only a tiny amount of brains will fit in the head of a penis), or so they would have you believe. Maybe they are contending that a larger penis holds more brains. Now to be totally honest I have been asked for one of THOSE kind of pictures! I ignored the request once, then blocked her the second time. Lots of shallow, sex crazed guys she can contact...they need her more than she needs them. She's a minority

Sadly , the reason that ' fuckboys ' do the sexually juvenile exploits , the harassment,i.e , relentlessly inflict the player's games on every female that they encounter ' tarnishing the image of all
mankind , ha ' is because nothing else that they are capable of ' ever ' works for them , but this approach actually does work for them sometimes ... when they finally time it right and encounter
a ' fuckgirl ' in distress . For some of the more polished , well- endowed and
experienced ' fuckboys ' it actually works a lot and these experts actually become heroes and role models to every scrub in the neighborhood , at the gym , wherever fuckboys congregate . No , I have no personal experience here , but I see it and hear about often and those boys aint stopping as long as they score just once in a while . It's their one and only constant passion !

I don't have any explanations that would hold water, so I won't make up anything. Except, I'm sure that some of my approaches have ended up with basically the same results you mentioned. I have not sent dick pics or even shirtless pics, but the results are sometimes 'unpredictable' at best. I'm sorry your experiences have been so negative.
