The swastika is actually a symbol of divinity to many Eastern cultures, and a symbol of auspicious fortune in Western cultures. Then Hitler usurped it and tilted it by 45 degrees, to represent the superiority of the Aryan race.
Imagine if he had usurped the horseshoe symbol instead!
..... or even the cross symbol, tilted 45 degrees 
...
The cross symbol predates Christianity by many centuries, appearing in bronze age cultures and Egyptian religions. Like Hitler, those pesky Christians usurped it!!!

Right! I've seen swastikas on Native American objects and they certainly weren't Nazis! Christians have always been good at stealing other peoples' symbols! (and their gold, silver, art, customs, etc.)
They are the same, different shape, but the same.
