Hopefully now it’s recognised some people will work towards changing it, but if it comes down to money and black and hispanic people are at the lower end of the spectrum, the companies will probably justify it somehow.
Do poorer areas not have any kind of community or charity hospitals in America?
Isn’t caring for the sick a fundamental human drive, like caring for young?

@FearlessFly looks interesting, thanks.

@FearlessFly is this the same as the one about, ‘Lisa’, that I found on the internet? Not really not what I meant by charity. A very strange and unusual situation, hopefully most of the patients escaped before it got to that stage. Sounds like it may have just been one psychopath up there running it at the end 🙁

@girlwithsmiles . . . don't think so -- watch the 3min trailer in the link.

@FearlessFly looks like it inspired the twisted tale that I watched. What a shame the Forces’ efforts were wasted.

@girlwithsmiles I think it it a powerful expose about much/all that is hopelessly wrong with healthcare in the US. I highly recommend it.

If you haven't been receiving regular healthcare, undiagnosed pre-existing conditions will be detected and they don't want to pay those costs. It's a bottom line mentality instead of caring whether people get well. Those already received regular care are less likely to have with excessive health problems. It's like vehicle maintenance. They treat people like cars and health insurance like a warranty policy.
