If you have a couple days I can most likely list over four thousand movie’s easily!
I have average one a day for over the last forty years!
The life cycle of a creature beyond our own comprehension and intellect!!!

I hate to say I ate octopus a long time ago!!!
I have had a similar experience in a deep tide pool in Brandon Oregon, one where the tide started going out I had my hand in the water touching a stat fish when I felt a something wrap around my fingers! Of course I jump back! It was a small octopus. It seemed to just be there as if it was looking at me!
I reached towards it it touched my hand that was out of the water, then it retracted and swam through the rocks into the out going tide! I never saw it again!!!
That touched me so much! Then I watched the My Octopus teacher which brought me back towards to that day in 1975!
I have not had octopus since that day in 1975!!!
What top-of-the-head list means...
Got me thinking...three more belong
up there somewhere:
-Chinatown
-Beetlejuice
-Foreign Correspondent
@K9Kohle789 The 39 Steps is an old Hitchcock spy thriller...maybe 1937-39...he made several good ones in England before he moved to Hollywood...(another is Foreign Correpondent)
How can we stop at 5??
In the guilty pleasure category:
-Beattlejuice(noted)
-Home Alone
-Tora Tora Tora
-another Chris Columbus one about a baby and his hapless kidnappers...forget the name...cracks me up every time
@K9Kohle789 the first two...
How cruel of you to hold it to top 5. Top 10 or 20 would have been more humane.
North By Northwest
Send Me No Flowers
The Great Escape
Woodstock
Contact
I also enjoyed several all of you already listed - Little Miss Sunshine, Inception, and others.
@K9Kohle789

I'm a movie person and I have so many favorites. But these are the ones that first came to mind.
The above are just five movies that sprung to mind, however, there are many more movies that I could add to the list some of which, upon further reflection, might take a place in the list.
My five are: -
