Where I now live it would have to read "Pork on the grille". I have often had to take evasive action as a wild boar ran across a lonely road, late at night.

Where do you live?
@LiterateHiker In South Eastern Spain, on the fringe of the only desert in Europe.
It's where movies like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly were shot.
@LiterateHiker The view from my front door.
In the other direction the land rises steeply up a hill range, peaking at 2,700 feet.
@Petter we saw wild horses in the north of Spain, and got to stay in a national, (Parador), hotel. Have yet to make it to the South, apart from Barcelona; the street art there was brilliant.
@girlwithsmiles Many of the Paradors are superb. They are a clever way to preserve historical buildings, by converting them into self-supporting hotels.
I've stayed in some fantastic ones.
Sooner or later, you need to visit Granada. I live about 100 minutes drive by motorway from there.
@Petter how funny, my sister in law’s parent’s live that side of things too.

@Petter I’m not sure, but it’s an hour from Granada, think more desert like though. I just know they have a pool and a small collection of stray dogs. The mother in law got stuck here for the first part of Covid, so her hubby was left with the dogs, I thought that was quite funny

A small herd of deer stepped in front of my daughter's car as Claire, then 20, was driving home at 10 p.m. Luckily, she was only going 35 mph in the city of Ellensburg, WA. She was a college student at Central WA University.
She killed five deer and totaled her car. Three dead deer were wrapped around the front end and doors. Her dad had her car towed to Wenatchee, where a car repair service fixed it.
Claire got whiplash and severe neck pain that has lasted 10 years.

wow killed 5 deer at once and even at the speed she was going ,bummer about the long lasting whip lash
Claire was speeding. I think she lied about how fast she was driving.
The speed limit is 25 mph in the City of Ellensburg.
@LiterateHiker But even 35 not that fast to kill that many,sort of a freak kill amount for sure
