THE GREAT TEACHER OR EDUCATOR,POST 2
Next, what are the elements of such an instructional system? Included are the following:
• A clear definition of the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and/or behaviors the student is to learn.
• The media we use to create those behaviors in the learner – lecture, the written word, audio visual equipment, instructional situations such as case studies or simulations, real life use. .
• Motivational techniques. We cannot assume that all learners wikll be motivated to learn something they need to maximize their growth in ability.
• Opportunity to demonstrate successful use of the knowledge or skill on a consistent basis. Once we acquire and productively use the desired knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors we will tend to use them throughout our entire lives.
• Evaluation devices or techniques.
On the last point. To achieve mastery, or such successful use, the student needs to show correct use in at least 90.0 percent of the instances of use.
Is there any more to come or have I missed it ?
