I've begun writing daily accounts of Gun Violence in my home town. In the last 2 days there have been 2 police shootings and in a nearby town a cat shot off the lap of the woman holding it.

As far as I can tell, there's been no news on gun deaths (gang related or otherwise) here in AUS for months now. Innocent mass shootings, none since 1996.

In the part of Scotland where I live, there is a higher than usual level of gun ownership, that said, we cannot own handguns in the UK unless they are muzzel loaders.
Studying criminolgy is part of my college course, I can confirm 0 shootings. However, recently some drug dealers have come up from Liverpool with guns, but no evidence of them being fired yet. In fact, Scotland has fewer than 30 full-time SWAT officers for the whole country.
