Yeah, plenty where I live in rural WV, but even some otherwise intelligent and economically successful city-folks (but w/o the southern accent) with their 2nd-homes in this area pretty-much say the same stupid things. Of course their taxes were halved, so Trump bought those folks, but even w/o that influence some people repeat these notions word-for-word when they get onto social media. Just glad we had a Biden win. The US wouldn't be recognizable in 4-years under Trump.

Why is it that even in rural NY the rednecks still have a Southern accent? The fact that he got elected shows that local government is just a good ole boys network.
