Answering machines, calculators, CB radios, ...
I found an old calculator also
I run into mine every so often too. Never know when they may make a comeback .(I think the Christians call it a resurrection !)
You have discovered a talisman of the ancient times when one had to venture forth into the outlands and make way to the local merchant to barter for the temporary acquisition of a video cassette which one could only retain possession of for a scant two or three days or risk a financial penalty (often referred to as the Late Fee Curse). The youth of today shall never comprehend the woes and hardships we faced during those long ago times.
Do you remember Erol's?
No - maybe that was before my time
@Heidi68 I looked it up. It was called Erol's. It was at one time the largest video cassette rental company in the country. Hey were only in the northeast, so you may not have had them what you come from. They are big from 1985-95, I don't know if you're too young for that timeline. I'm from Philly and they were all over. One day they just disappeared. They apparently got into PC repair as software sales. [medium.com]
