The Labor / Capital dichotomy is as old as capitalism itself, with the power dynamic always favoring wealth. However the right for Labor to organize and bargain collectively is relatively new, but seldom used to good effect, particularly in today's anti-union climate. It is human nature for those who wield power to seek more of it, conceding only when forced to.

In those old days, people were willing to get beat up, fired, maybe even die to support a union. Nowadays, most people won't even agree to respect a picket line or a boycott. Also, the Dem Party still gladly takes money from unions and gives them lip service, but hasn't done shit for unions for decades. Those are the reasons we have what we have today, including only about 8% union membership among workers.

I’m guessing your question is hypothetical and you pretty much know the answer to this. I chalk it up to lack of critical thinking due to our poor education system and successful capitalist propaganda.

Yeah, I know why. I'm basically asking why others aren't as on board as we are.

Bad education is for sure a major part of it.
