This most probably is a godless world.
But is it a fate less world as well? I speak from perspective of the Laplace's demon thought experiment.
I'm not sure what I think about Laplace's demon, but I do believe in a deterministic universe as it pertains to our choices. I don't think it's possible to do something you don't "want" to do, I think we're always a slave to our predisposed desires. Even if we think we're acting contrary to our wants, there's always another want that dictates that superseding decision. In that sense, there's only ever one decision anyone ever has made or ever will make at any given crossroads.
That said, I think letting that idea consume you can just lead to defeatism/fatalism. I think it's best to act as if our decisions do matter. As far as I'm aware, that's kind of the only way to operate. It's sort of like Absurdism, I suppose: Accepting that the universe is devoid of inherent meaning, but seeking to pursue or create meaning regardless.
Fate refers to the two things at the end of my legs.
