With mind reading technology improving, how confident are you that Big Brother won't haul you in for anti social, (or worse), thoughts in the future. (Obviously at this stage there needs to be full consent, but in the future...).

I'm not sure if you're joking. In case you're not, I recommend reading '1984' by George Orwell
Big Brother is a reference to the book "1984" by George Orwell. In it there is a future dystopian society where the government is all pervasive in people's lives. Big Brother has become shorthand for describing a government that spies on its own citizens.
@zucicciu I'm not joking. I was born in 1988. How would I know of a book before my time?

'1984' was written in 1948. What's looming in our very near political future is following the same pattern in Italy in 1924 and Germany in 1933 (respectively, Mussolini and Hitler). Within a few years the world experienced the most devastating global conflict triggered by their collective insanity. Without taking the time to read about our past we are doomed to repeat it. I highly encourage you to take a look back at the wealth of knowledge humanity has accumulated over the millennia. Just a thought ... 'cause, what you just said scared the crap out of me.
