These are my peeps. The gal on the left is 5- 10 years older than me. She's paid all her bills with this her entire life.
The gal in the middle started the same time as I, has paid her entire house by dance.
The gal on the left is my instructor and very good friend. Her entire family is in the in some form or other, She's mid fifties and now she's quitting which saddens me. I don't know if they'll all also quit but the local Ren faire will not be the same.
Kina has said that there's some video of me somewhere out on the dark web but only she knows where it is thankfully. I keep asking her to get rid of it!
So, Kathleen isn't the only one here with skills. I'll tell you that this is VERY good for back problems!!!!
There used to be an Afghanistani restaurant and bar in Denver back in the late 70's called The Kyber Pass. They had professional belly dancers in Tuesday and Saturday nights. I was one of the few non Mideastern patrons. Lots of crazy testosterone and laughter.
There was a Kyber Pass in Philadelphia at the same time. IDK if it was owned by the same family, but my roommate used to date the owner's son.
Jen in the middle of the video....performed at a couple places in town. 300 bucks plus tips for fifteen to twenty minutes of work. Like I said her house is paid for in less than 6 years. It's all on hiatus until the restaurant restrictions are lifted but she also has a full time job so it's not critical.
I'd go once in a while with her and her BF at the time (protection) but the energy in the places were better than most bars. Sometimes some of the men were better at certain of the movements than I was.
If only!!!
It's never too late, I started at fifty
I've always wanted to try this. I wonder if it would help an arthritic hip?
It takes longer to get dexterity, but it definitely helped mine. If only there was more movement for the hands. I fractured my back as a kid, this had helped TONS!
