Reinstituting the Fairness Doctrine would be a good place to start, so AM radio would stop being a propaganda tool for the far, far right. Reforming the electoral process is also mandatory. Getting rid of the fillibuster also a great idea.
A democracy only functions if the will of the majority prevails. The super-rich must not become an aristocracy.

@Storm1752 I am an optimist too and saw Trump as bringing the problems in ousystem so loud there would be a grass roots revolt. I really didn't imagine the revolt of what happened in the capitol, because I didn't thinkit could be possible. I am hopeful it is a loud enough catalyst of thee change you mentioned and more. Especially the donations/bribes those in Congress take from those they serve instead of their condtituants. Citizens United must be overturned as well.
