The Greek Orthodox Church is stuck in Byzantium, calling on Greeks to eschew the un-Christian practice of yoga and to continue to accept the Eucharist using a common (shared) spoon during the pandemic! Give any church the power they seek and they become politically repressive.

All religions are political, if they have not tried to rule the world, they plan to one day.

And the orthodox Church is not political, and had no role in the partition of Cyprus for example. Let the dogs bite each others rumps.
